The Aquatic Leaders in Training (AQ LIT) Program is designed for youth interested in leadership development and future careers in aquatics. Participants complete 65 practical training hours while assisting with lessons, public swims, special events, and facility operations under staff supervision. Participants may have the opportunity to receive sponsored National Lifeguard, Swim & Lifesaving Instructor, and SwimAbilities Instructor certifications as part of the program. Upon completion of the program, all participants will receive a Letter of Experience outlining their hours, tasks completed, and program participation. Prerequisites: Participants must be 15–17 years old at the start of the program and may be 18 by the end of the program. Bronze Medallion and Bronze Cross are required but do not need to be current. Intermediate First Aid is required and must be current. Parent's are recommended to attend the first 15 minutes of orientation
