Prerequisites: 15+ years, completed Lifesaving Society's Bronze Cross and hold a current Intermediate first-aid. The Lifesaving Society NL course builds on the skills and knowledge taught in the prerequisite certifications to develop a sound understanding of lifeguard principles, good judgement, and a mature, responsible attitude towards the role of a lifeguard.
